Celebrate Thanksgiving in Style, or Impress Mom – With Tie Master Lite
by JasonBlack
For our readers in the U.S., a very happy Thanksgiving to you all! For the rest of the world, sorry we’re late with today’s post …
So, if you are celebrating Thanksgiving today, and if you want to impress your mom, or your friends – or maybe even surprise yourself a little – why not put on a tie, and get a little gussied up … What, you never learned to tie a tie? Don’t despair, you can learn how to tie a tie with ease – in as little as five simple steps! – with the free Tie Master Lite app from our good friends at Pico Brothers.
OK, the Lite version of the app only shows you one way to knot your tie – the classic, four-in-hand knot. The app describes this variety of knot, and then in a slideshow format shows you the steps you need to follow to do it for yourself.

One thing I like about this set up is that you can see the whole sequence in an automated flow, or you can go back and forth between the instructional screens, and see clearly what you need to do each step of the way. Here we are, nearly done …

And then, of course, how it should look when you’re finished (of course, the color may vary depending on what you have in your closet – or, your dad’s closet):

Easy, right?
So, the Pro version of the app, which is only $1.99 in Ovi Store, provides you with 10 different ways to tie your tie – there are knots listed that I’ve never even heard of (and certainly never tried on my own …). That comes out to 20 cents per tutorial – not bad, in my opinion.
To get a taste of what is available in the Pro version of the app, check out this short video from the developer showing the app in action on the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device:
That’s it – have a great holiday everyone. And put a smile on your mom’s face when she sees how handsome you look. Now, if only we had an app that showed us how to use the iron for the dress shirt that goes with the tie …
