Graphics
Very cool graphics. A little cartoon-ish, but it does not take anything away from the game. Would be nice to see a bit more 3D treatment, but I am fine with 2D and quasi-3D effects and animations.

Game play
Great stuff! I have not played the Tony Hawk franchise in a while. In fact, I think the last Tony Hawk game I remember playing was on the PS2 (yeah, I know…sooo early-mid 2000’s). I loved the game for the console, and I really like the game for mobile. Of course there is a bit less ‘skill’ involved when you are limited to a few different buttons, compared to a console controller with 100’s of different key combinations sure to give your hands arthritis. However, don’t worry there is no shortage of tricks to pull off in the mobile version. Lots of skate parks to unlock, and lots of challenges to complete!

Music/Sound FX
The music is fine. Simple MIDI type tracks that loop in the background. The sounds effects are a little bit on the weak side if you ask me. Again minor details that really do not affect the true gameplay.

Controls
I am playing Tony Hawk VERT on a Nokia N97 mini. The controls are great. I can actually use the arrow keys on the device in landscape mode, or I can use the touch screen in both landscape and portrait mode. Simple, yet effective. In no time you will be catching some huge air off the half-pipe!
