These days we all have a lot of personal contact information to keep track of … Both for ourselves, and the people in our lives (friends, family, coworkers). And, there are plenty of occasions when this information might change and then need to be updated. You could send out notices to everyone via e-mail, or make a ton of phone calls – or, if you’re feeling old-school you could use ‘change of address’ cards and actual postal mail (remember stamps?). Or, you could set up an account with WhereIsNow, and install the Hive.Now plugin on your Nokia mobile device to keep all of your contact information up-to-date – and secure – online.

To begin, create a new user account at the WhereIsNow website – it only takes a few minutes, and that part is free.

Within Hive.Now, you can set up details for your own contact information, as well as that of any of your personal contacts. The WhereIsNow system assigns a customized ID (what they call a “Publisher ID”) that is for all of your information, and then every entry you create has its own numeric tag assigned to it (a document number) as well. As you enter new contacts on your Nokia device using the Hive.Now tool, a new document number can be assigned to each one, associated with your specific Publisher ID, so that the information remains grouped together, and always has a consistent identifier for future reference.
