When Surfing for Pics on Twitter, TwitterPiccer Gets the Job Done
by SonjaSchubert
If you like to know what your favorite celebrity looks like today or if you want to see the latest pictures of your friends on the beach then TwitterPiccer by Kaedinger is definitely the right application for you. I recently tested the app on my Nokia N97 mini.
With TwitterPiccer you won’t miss the shot of the day. It’s easy use allows you to quickly have a look at whatever comes to mind. You can see if the skyline of Shanghai is as beautiful as it was yesterday, or what costume is already taken for tonight’s masked ball.
There is no need for endless searching through the latest twitter news if you just want to see a picture. You can simply type a description or name in the field and it will load all pictures that are available based one of your keywords.
You can save up to seven favorites, and they will open every time when you open the application. Just save your favorite in the first place and as soon as the app opens you see your favorite pictures instantly. If you add your friends to the list then you are always up to date.
When you first start the Web Runtime widget, there is a selection of automatically created terms that you can change very easily by simply clicking on them. Another window will be opened and you can change the title.
As soon as you go back to the main page of the application, all new pictures that include the term you chose will now be displayed in small pictures. When you click on them they enlarge to their original size. The picture is still too small? No problem! Just go to the magnifying glass and you can change the picture’s size from small to large, however you want to have it.
If you are wondering what sources TwitterPiccer uses to retrieve the images displayed, just go to options once you have opened the picture in the enlarged view and you can find out all details you want to know. The app gets images from the following sources: twitpic, img.ly, yfrog, and twitgoo.
All in all, TwitterPiccer is definitely worth a try, especially if you prefer to experience your Tweets visually .
TwitterPiccer is available for $0.99 (USD) in Ovi Store, and it is compatible with a broad range of Nokia devices (complete list below).
