SMSTimer is a text message scheduling application for your Nokia. The best feature of this application is that it integrates right into the ‘Messaging’ options on your phone. Let us get to the details of the application.

After you install the application on your device, make sure that the ‘SMSTimer’ functionality is enabled by selecting: Menu > Applications > SMS Timer > Options > Status > Enable.

To start your message scheduling, go to Menu > Messaging > New Message. Draft a text message and hit the send button. Now, the ‘SMSTimer’ application takes control. You are provided with two options – ‘Schedule’ and ‘Send Now’.

If you select the ‘Schedule’ option, you are presented with a screen, where you can enter the date and time to send the text message.

Once you hit the ‘Save’ button, your message is stored in the ‘SMSTimer’ pending message queue as shown below.

The message will sit in the pending messages queue until the specified time. At the specified time, your message will be sent automatically! Furthermore, if you have second thoughts about the message or its timing, you can edit, re-schedule or delete the message. A point to note: After re-scheduling a message, you will have to click the ‘Refresh’ button to see the updated message in the ‘SMSTimer’ pending messages queue.

Right now, the application does not enable you to send recurring messages at specified time intervals. This would be a nice feature to add to this application. Overall, the application delivers what it promises on the cover – a stable, integrated solution to schedule SMS messages.
