Win a Trip to Nokia IdeasProject Re-Launch VIP Party and Concert at SXSW
by JasonBlack
I love a good brainstorm. You know, those times when you and maybe some coworkers can just sit around and think about new ideas, and see how many cool things you can think of … Who knows what ideas will stick? There are no wrong answers, so the more ideas the better!
Now, there’s a chance for your own brain-storming powers to pay off in a really fun way. Our colleagues over at Nokia’s IdeasProject are sponsoring a contest right now where you can win big just by submitting the best idea of the bunch.
How does it work? It’s easy.
Have you ever asked yourself, “Where’s the app for… ?” This contest asks you to fill in the blank for that question!
Think of a brand new idea for a mobile app that you would love to see. What’s your suggestion for an app that would make the world a better place? Then, go to Nokia’s IdeasProject.com and submit up to 10 individual ideas.
If your idea is selected by their panel of social media experts, you could win a trip to the Nokia IdeasProject Re-Launch VIP Party and Concert during South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, March 12, 2011, featuring special guests to be announced.
NOTE: This contest is only open to residents of the United States.
The ideas submitted will be judged by well-known social media experts, including “Heroes” creator Tim Kring, Laura Fitton of Pistachio Consulting, Mike “Mike’s List” Elgan, and Brian Solis, author of “Engage: The Complete Guide for Brands and Businesses to Build, Cultivate, and Measure Success in the New Web.”
Submissions for “Where’s the App For…?” can be as simple as text descriptions of your original idea, or you can record a video and post it to YouTube describing your idea. Text submissions should be 50 – 250 words; videos can be up to three minutes in length.
The contest winner and a guest will receive the following:
- * Coach airfare to Austin, Texas (arrive 11 March, depart 14 March)
- * Hotel for 3 nights
- * Passes to the SXSW conference
- * Attendance for one day at the Nokia lounge
- * Attendance at the Nokia-sponsored reception and concert
But hurry! Submissions for this contest are due by midnight, Pacific time on Friday 25 February 2011.
For more information, and to submit your ideas, go to Nokia’s IdeasProject now.
