About Ovi Daily App India
1 September 2010 – After one year of focusing (primarily) on content that is available globally in Ovi Store, we decided it was time to go local. And what better place to start than India? For one, India consistently ranks in the top 10 “most active” countries for Ovi Store users.
Additionally, just today, it was announced that “Nokia has been ranked No.1 in The Economic Times-Brand Equity’s annual ‘Most Trusted Brands’ survey for 2010 in India, marking Nokia’s recognition as India’s most trusted brand for three consecutive years.”
So it seems like we have really good timing. As we mark the one-year anniversary of the Ovi Daily App blog, we are officially launching this new portion of the site dedicated to reviews about mobile apps and content in Ovi Store that are specifically for our visitors in India.
Now, to be clear, we will not be posting reviews everyday just yet … let us work up to it! Our plan is to post approximately 3 new reviews per week focusing on apps in Ovi Store that are available to users from India. Expect a mix of content here – some that will likely be globally available apps, as well as those that are truly exclusive to India. As we get settled in to this new content, we will work to add more reviews on a regular basis, just like we do on the global site today.
AND, if all goes according to plans, we will be using this site as a model for the way we can feature reviews of content from other countries and regions around the world. After all, Ovi Store is globally available, but it benefits from the fact that it has so much great content to meet your needs locally, too.
