Hey Nokia, how are you? I know you are the greatest… we all know. How about going further, do something that will have them all wondering if you're for real? How about not just allowing us to pre-order but also to customize our phones? No not just color/ spray paint job but internal components like processor, camera, battery size, etc!!!!!!! Yeah I know what you're thinking I am nuts, it'd be hard to support all the variations, you couldn't use a model number to identify those customized phones since they may behave differently and have different capabilities, certain features would fit your optimization plan and would use too much battery power, it'd take forever to do the customization for those who could actually pay for it!!!, etc etc. Let me go even further, how about choice of OS!!!, yeah OS!!! I'd be curious to see Android on N97. To be honest the iPhone when it was just released had aspects of it that was years ahead of the competition but nokia you're king in terms overall features, considering something as innovative this approach would establish once and for all that you are king, leader… others will be followers.

Don't piss everyone off with stalling tactics, Nokia. This is the most anticipated Nokia phone ever, also probably the most hyped. Don't keep the world waiting too long for it though. We all want this phone, badly, but there are plenty of other excellent phones available and soon to be available and if you take the piss we'll just go elsewhere eventually.
It's supposed to be available in Europe the end of this month but that's looking unlikely now and even when it comes out it looks like only a few countries will get it and the UK is not one of them. Grrrrrrr!
I've been due an upgrade since August last year and have been holding off until something significantly better than the N95 8GB came out. The N97 is that phone but I and many others will not wait forever so, Nokia, my message to you is don't mess your loyal customers about.

This is what you are saying now, but dozens of previous pre-orderers have said that historically this is not the case, and the retailers have sold handsets before shop.nokia.com pre-orders were fulfilled. This is an important launch for you guys, so please, BE SERIOUS ABOUT THIS PROMISE.
