The Ovi Store launches today enabling everyone to download and personalise their Nokia phones with the latest applications, games, videos, podcasts, tools, location-based services and more.
“Ovi Store makes content and application discovery an easy and personal experience for both mainstream and high-end devices,” said Tero Ojanperä, Executive Vice President, Nokia Services. “Ovi Store is one of our most ambitious rollouts and we’re aiming to provide the most compelling consumer content imaginable and that doesn’t exclude the millions of Nokia consumers using feature phones.”
Ovi Store will work across a broad range of Nokia devices running on S40 and S60 systems. Check out the store to find out if you can download the latest and greatest apps for your phone.
“The number of devices that can instantly access the Ovi Store at launch makes it a great benefit for both existing and new Nokia customers,” said Kai Öistämö, Executive Vice President, Nokia. “Nokia’s new flagship, the Nokia N97, will be the first to ship with the simple storefront when it arrives in June and will showcase the ultimate experience that people will enjoy.”

Just paid a deposit for the N97, going to be delivered to me on June 15th. I live in Oman … and the official Nokia distributor is "MHD". The Phone is going for 295 Omani Riyals which is 551€

"I received a pre-release Nokia N97 from Nokia SA yesterday to take a look at and test for a couple weeks. The version I received is not the same version that will be shipped but it is probably pretty close. In a sense this is a release candidate so there is still a chance the software may be a little buggy and the phone isn’t really supported by 3rd party providers. I’ve noticed a couple quirks which will probably be resolved by the time the phones ship (I understand that the devices will start shipping internationally in a matter of weeks although Nokia can’t confirm any details at this point)." share your views with me at http://www.NokiaN97Forum.com it's a site for N97 users. see ya

N97 is too expensive for 551 euros. It mite be a flop like the SE X1. But the N97 phone is great. So I mite be wrong
