The nokia n97 contest which we had in the beginning of this year was similarly flawed.. When is nokia gonna learn??

For the record, felbutss- it wasn't me that stated you are cheating. I was basically (and yes, perhaps a be rhetorically) asking if what Luke meant was that you were casting votes from those remote machines yourself (or via your agent, Luke). Other people threw around terms like "cheating" and "rule breaking"- not me, but I'd also like to say that I don't exactly disagree with them. I stated that such an action would be no different from IP spoofing- which is cheating, and I stated as much as fact.

I also think your comments toward me and the other contestants are WAY out of line. I think you need to recheck that attitude now and in the future- in this competition and the rest of your life.

You should be ashamed of how you've behaved towards this entire group and the sponsors from the very beginning. I really don't know what the underlying cause is of your abusive tone, language and behavior- but I'm done with it. Pleas direct your hostility towards another party.

Agreed with David. Again, I never called him a cheat- I asked a question about what he's done- but it wasn't me that called him a 'cheater'. Several others did (and again, I don't necessarily disagree with them- but I didn't say it!)- why do you direct this hostility, incredibly abusive and insulting behavior specifically at me?

Speaking of abusive and insulting behavior- I'd like to remind everyone of the following from the rules-

(c) you will not send any such messages to any other user or the Sponsor that contain vulgar,
abusive or otherwise inappropriate language;
(d) you will not disrupt the flow of discussion with vulgar, abusive or otherwise inappropriate language

(g) you will not use the Site to “stalk” or harass another person and your Content and use will

These have all been blatantly, brashly and purposefully violated (rule g was violated on two counts with the harassment and the suggestion of illegal activities) by everyone's new friend. It's up to the sponsor to decide how this plays out next- I'm over it.

i went to far last night. I should not have spoken to you guys like that. i really am sorry.

also can you guys see why i was so upset. i also wasnt in the best mood, the last thing i wanted to see was accusations. if you guys thought i was cheating maybe you should of emailed me or nokia first. i feel like all of you guys want me out of this competition for winning, but what have i done wrong????

well im off to work, i woke up feeling so bad. i know this was meant to be fun for everyone, but do you see now why open voting maybe isnt a good idea?????

Men lol. I can see where everyone is coming from even ‘felbutss’. This competition was flawed the day open voting was put up. Everyone is just a little upset but we can’t start blaming people for a big lead. I agree I’m a little disappointed but I don’t think its anyone’s fault. Next year no open voting please nokia.

Let this competition continue guys. No more accusations. PseudoFinn don’t edge people on, felbutss is clearly not happy. Felbutss slow down before nokia get unhappy, you may be right but you took the wrong channel, I’m glad you had the courage to apologize on this website accessible by the world and you should be left to continue. I believe if nothing was said on this public website about cheating for the world to see I don’t believe he would have snapped. It is very very embarrassing and I believe also to be harassment to accuse someone of cheating guys.

Wow what is going on. Jason is not cheating. I am not cheating for him! If anyone thinks I helped him cheat please comment after this and ill give you my direct email. Jason is a hard worker. He has been working in his department doing a 5 person job and is stressed.

I only helped him since I saw how passionate he was about this contest. He stayed back after work for a long time to take the picture you see, which is one of many. He hasn’t stopped talking about it. Everyone here knows about it and has visited the site. I can also see what is happening here, I feel like he was put in a corner received vivid accusations; he got angry due to self defense.

I thought this argument was over??? Why are you making it worse all over the internet? You didn’t call me a cheat first but you made it much worse. You are the reason I snapped. Nokia can you please delete everyone’s comments and disable comments for this blog. I don’t think anyone meant any harm or tried to jeopardize this competition, things just got out of hand.

seems like PseudoFinn is only upset because of his hard work on his picture. the world isnt nice mate. You did make things worse by explaining in detail how felbutss apparently cheated, which i believe he didn't. i hope felbutss wins. if i was in his position i would of done the same thing, so i dont judge or blame him. he didnt break any rules, you did by pushing him over the edge. 1+ vote for felbutss, im going to get my friends to also vote for felbutss.

Taz- My attitude and actions have very little to do with the vote count of my photo or anyone else, it's about how felbutss conducted himself from the very beginning of this competition. He was over the edge before the short list was even posted.

In retrospect, it was poor form of me indeed to have said anything at all- certainly to indicate that anyone was doing anything improper- for which I apologize to the sponsor, the participants and spectators of this debacle. This has nothing to do with the fact that I am losing- there are far more people ahead in the count than just him, and I've got nothing to say to them. Hastily, and perhaps incorrectly, I felt that I needed to say something to felbutss- though it was a clear mistake to get into any kind of discussion with someone like that. It's a shame that this took such a nasty turn, and part of the shame is mine for even getting involved when everyone else started crying foul with this guy. I guess my words hurt more than others somehow…?

Felbutss- if you want to drop it, you actually have to do so.

i have been reading the conversation in here, and iam glad that everyone now are friends =), i wish nokia could give everyone a phone and make a comunity and we all be friends =D! thats my happy world! btw, iam a man, the girl in the photo is my girlfriend <3 we are both participating if i win and she wants the phone iam going to give it to her, if not, iam going to save money i dont know how (iam a full time student, i dont have a job, i cant have one jet, maybe i rob a bank, i look good as thief =D) so we both going to win with this, and we are making lots of effort!! i mean lots!!! and my friends too!!.. man! i dont have much friends but the ones i have i love them they are helping me a lot with this like they are wining too! but felbutss its too hard to pass xD, @james i dont know if thats posible, iam out of ideas of how to get more votes xD, i already spamed everyone i can. but if i dont win ill be happy anyways because i know my pic its the one with the most views.. Maybe the marketing part isn't so easy for all of us. There are 5 persons in the company I work in and they're so close to retirement that they most propably wouldn´t even know how to turn a computer on. I have about 10 close friends. That´s about it. I regret I spent so many hours planning, collecting props and executing my pictures. It would´ve been the same if I would´ve taken a snapshot of my arse since in the end this competition wasn´t about photograpgy but instead who has the most friends/contacts.

hey dont say that, the n97mini is a great phone too! it depends on the use, i prefer an n900 because iam a linux user, programmer, 2d/3d artist, so i wanted to develop for maemo, it would be my new hobby =D, but the n97mini is great, it has compass, s60 OS with lost of apps, ngage, nice formfactor, metal exterior, its smaller, etc… lots of good stuff!!!

That is a ridicules amount of votes it’s embarrassing. I will pick the n900 if I do win. The reason I want this phone is to develop for the Maemo universe so I can contribute back into the community. If I do win, ill do a full review of the phone on all aspects and I have a few ideas for some apps which I will inform the community soon of what they are.

I didn’t like what this competition has done to people. It was an unfair the voting system that was developed. It was just too easy for me to get votes; I work with over 3500 people who were willing to vote for me. I help these people everyday so it was like they were returning the favor and they also loved my picture. I love all you guys, and wish we all could have won. I also wish everyone here had more votes. I feel like the mobile community has let everyone down as it was simply two click’s to vote, which was two clicks to hard. I didn’t mean to have such a lead, and I didn’t expect so much support from all my friends who have been watching the whole time.

I hope if there ever was a contest developed in the same way open voting should be abolished. I just want to thank the nseries team and the sponsors for giving everyone the opportunity to have a little bit of fun even though it did get out of hand from the fact I’m a little bit mentally weaker then everyone else, but I’m gland we all worked it out. Thanks guys, I won’t let this opportunity go to waste, and you guys will be hearing from me soon with some apps id like you guys to try.
