Whale Migration
Flying over the water for the purpose of photographing whales has been a desire ever since I started doing KAP, but I’ve only recently been able to make arrangements for this. Even though I have not yet photographed whales from the air, the results have already been better than I imagined.

Biography

My formal training is as an astronomer. After university I left the field to pursue a career in computers, but later returned to astronomy as an instrumentation engineer at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope, located on the Big Island of Hawaii. I started doing photography in the mid-90′s while I was living in Texas, and have continued to pursue it ever since. I started doing kite aerial photography in Hawaii in 2007 and have been actively doing photography on the ground and the air since then.
