Str8 SKATE Team update #5

We’re back! After battling with some minor prototype power issues which caused the skateboard to stop working, we’ve finally got our paws on the pieces needed to get things working again. A thorough diagnosis showed that a new lithium-polymer battery was needed, thankfully, an easy replacement. The board’s charging circuit also needed slight modification.
Originally planned for the April holidays, the contest was unfortunately postponed yet again and has now been rescheduled for the end of June. Although it’ll be the middle of our South African winter, a daily temperature average of around 15°C means that plenty of skaters will still be around to take part!
Third time lucky..? Here’s hoping!
