Ok is there a way to record sound from a external sound source directly into a N900. I love records and have my Stanton Turntable (that does have a USB) connected to my stereo system. Yea I know but my office is so crowded I find that don’t have the room for my turntable in my office anymore. The N900 is so small that it would be great to just set it up to record from my Stanton Turntable while I am listening to my records. I would not have to cart the turntable back and forth. I really miss recording my records (yea I like to record the whole record as well) and then listening to them on my computer. This may sound strange but I like listening to a whole side or whole record at once sometimes. I like the randomness with mp3’s but some records need to be listened to as a whole rather than just one or two songs. Roger Waters is a good example as well as Queensryche for this type of music. Even though records have flaws I still enjoy them because of that.
Like I said I’m not a coder or moder but seems like a simple device could be use from the N900 usb to accept a line in input to record from an external device or better microphone (maybe one with a AA Batery).
Yes and no. The microphone in might work but won’t provide any fidelity. The best bets would be some bluetooth receive (ad2p in instead of out) or a wifi device that would stream something in CD quality as it was recorded

Let me throw one more possibility into the mix – if you had an array of LEDs which the 5Mp camera could see…
